Today in class began the The Jacket.  First, we did the Quickwrite on p. 26 (#1).  Second, we read paragraphs 1-4 and discussed how the writer crafted the hook (paragraph 1).

No homework was assigned because many want to share the rest of the story on Wednesday.

On that colorful web I shared the content to include in your assignment:  Write about an incident from only your viewpoint.  Be sure you include details about setting, conflict, and characterization.  Include dialogue and descriptive language ( like vivid verbs and figurative language).  Use proper nouns and pronouns.
